With 14 full days of argument and struggle, we finally named our little boy "Noah Michael Stocker"

14日ぎりぎりかけて、ついに息子を命名しました。ストウカー能亜（のあ）です。よろしくお願いします。

We had several names picked before he was born and thought maybe one would click when we see his face. But we could not decide after staring for a long time. It took us full 14 days (limit for Japan office) to decide his name. I guess he was lucky that we finally came to an agreement of his name.

生まれる前にいくつかの名前を選んでいて、「顔を見てから決めよう！」ということになっていました。ところが生まれてきてみて顔を見つめてみてもなかなか決まらず、結局タイムリミットぎりぎりセーフで決定しました。

This is Noah's picture for US passport. This will be a good black mail picture. (Julia's picture is even worse...) We took over 100 pictures and this is the better one out of all the pictures. It was pretty difficult to catch a moment of him not crying but have eyes open.

これが、パスポート用の能亜の写真です。散々撮ったわりに、これです。…と言うより、生後数週間の能亜が、泣かずに目を開いているタイミングがなかなかない。たまたまタイミングが合っても、今度は正面を向いてくれない…。結局コレが一番マシな一枚です。

Tanaka Women's Clinic

I have to say that I absolutely LOVE my hospital for giving birth to 3rd child. My friend, Laura, introduced me to Tanaka Women's Clinic and it has been my favorite clinic ever since.

今回の出産でお世話になったのは、前回ジュリアの時と同様、私の一番お気に入りの産婦人科、田中ウィメンズクリニックです。この病院は、以前お友達のLauraから紹介してもらい、それ以後「出産はこの病院しかない！」と断言しているぐらい、すばらしい産婦人科医院です♪

Here's the list of things that I like about Tanaka's.

お気に入りの理由はというと…

1. Painless delivery! 無痛分娩の老舗！

Dr. Tanaka is an anesthetist and he gives epidural to all of his patients. I hear he is the first doctor who brought in epidural technique to Japan. My delivery was totally nice and calm. I was checking emails during my labor until very last minute of my delivery.

このクリニックは、完全無痛分娩。田中院長は麻酔科のドクターで、硬膜外麻酔の無痛分娩を日本で初めて導入した方だとか。おかげさまで大きさのわりに出産は全く問題なく、逆に快適でした。陣痛の真っ只中にメールチェックしてた私。快適さを物語っているでしょ♪

2. Scheduled delivery　計画出産

This is another beautiful thing about Tanaka's. We don't have to wait until labor comes! And we get to pick baby birthday! Ellie and Julia were both born on the 6th, so we decided to have this baby on the 6th as well.

こちらでは、計画出産を行っているので、なんと自然陣痛を待つ必要がないのです。おまけに出産日も選べたりする。エリとジュリアは（これは単なる偶然だけど）、２人とも６日生まれなので、今回も６日に出産できました。（おかげでおなかの中で育ってしまい、結局4,000kg越えだったけど）

3. Gorgeous meals during my hospital stay　ゴージャスなお食事

I love every meal during my stay at Tanaka's. They totally accommodated with my diet (no coffee, no tea, etc.) and I had wonderful time on every meal!

病院滞在中のお食事がこれまた豪華なこと！さりげなーく伊勢えびやあわびが、病院の食事メニューに並んでいるのです。おまけに宗教上の理由で食べれないものや飲めないものにも快く対応してくれて、特別別メニューをいただいてしまいました♪

4. Friendly nurses　フレンドリーでアットホームな環境

My stay was gorgeous! I was treated so nice and loved my stay at Tanaka's. Mike told people that I was staying at the hotel instead of hospital. I have to agree that my stay was as nice as hotel stay.

助産師さんやドクターの皆様、みーんなとっても気さくで話しやすく相談にものってくれて、入院生活を楽しく過ごしました。マイケルなんか、「うちの妻は今ホテルにいるから。」とかジョーク飛ばしてましたが、まんざら全て冗談でもないと思えるほど、快適な入院生活でした♪

田中先生と生まれたばかり（それも直後）の息子です。ジュリアもこんな感じで田中先生にとりあげていただきました。

Baby's Day 2 with the Girls

The next day, girls came to meet the baby for the first time. Oh, they were loud... I could hear them when they walked into the clinic. They of course came into the room with big loud "Mommy!!!"

ベビー誕生の翌日、エリとジュリアがベビーに会いに病院に来てくれました。まぁ、子供達のうるさいこと…。クリニックのドアから入ってきた瞬間から、奥の病室にいた私にも声が聞こえたほど…。ご迷惑だわ…。そして、病室のドアを開けたとたん、「マミー！ベィビー！！！」

Ellie was so excited to see the baby. She kept saying "Oh, Baby. So cute..." as she touches the baby. She even held the baby and gave a little kiss.
Julia, on the other hand, seemed to be doing what her older sister was doing, but not sure what exactly is going on. She ended up poking her finger into baby's face.

エリちゃんは、ベビーとのご対面に大興奮。「マミー、ベィビーかわいいねぇ～。」と、しきりにベビーの頭をなでなで。ベビーを抱っこして、チューのプレゼント。
一方ジュリアは、とりあえずエリの真似事をしようとして、ベビーの顔をつつきまくり…。でも、ちゃんとチューはしてました。This is Ellie and Julia taking over baby bed. They tried to be a baby, but they were a little too big...

その後、ジュリアとエリで病室中イタズラしまくり。ベビーのベッドまで乗っ取られ、2人でベビーごっこ。しかしながら、彼女達にはちょっと小さすぎるベッドでしたね…。

Baby Boy

Here we go. I'm finally caught up. I get to post our new born baby picture.

ようやく今までのキャッチアップができました。そして、ベビーの写真をアップできますっ！（いままで怠惰だった私が全部いけないんだけどね…。）

Our new baby was born on Nov 6. He was supposed to come out on Nov 3rd since that was the day that I scheduled first. But Daddy thought it would be a good idea to have him come out on the 6th since Julia and Ellie were both born on the 6th. I thought it might be cool to have him come out on the 6th. If I had to do it all over again I would have picked the early date. Since I delayed the delivery 3 days, he grew quite a lot during these 3 days and he decided to come out big. That is how he became 8lbs 15oz.

11月6日に、元気な男の子が生まれました。本当は3日に生まれる予定だったのですが（計画出産をしてくれる産院なのです！）Daddyの強い要望で6日と相成りました。エリもジュリアも誕生月は違うものの、みんな6日に生まれているので、今回も6日だったらいいじゃん、とのご意見です。まったく…。3日余分に臨月妊婦でいる身にもなって欲しい…。最後の3日間はお腹中ベビーに圧迫されている感じで、とーっても大変だったのよっ！おかげさまで、生まれたときの体重は、なんと4050g！ビッグでした…。でも、産院はいつもどおり世田谷区奥沢の田中ウィメンズクリニックだったので、快適に出産できました♫
This is Daddy and baby just came out. Daddy is so happy to hold his new-born son.

Daddyと生まれたばかりのBabyです。初の男の子とあって、Daddyも少々感慨深い（？）ものがあるようです。

NHK Studio Park

Since I was about to deliver a baby, we thought this would be the last outing as a family of 4. We were supposed to go out to Shibuya Fest. But... By the time we got there, it was almost over, so we decided to just stop by at NHK Studio Park.

今週お産の予定なので、文化の日祭日のこの日のファミリーアウティングがおそらく4人での最後となるであろう、とのことで、代々木公園で開催されている渋谷フェスタに行くことにしました。ところが、Daddyの電話会議が調度お昼にぶつかってしまい、結局出かけられたのは午後3時半すぎ。で、ついてみたらもうほぼ終わりに近かった…。そこで仕方ないので、お隣のNHKスタジオ広場に入ってみることにしました。たまたまこの日は入場無料だったのです。

As soon as we went in, we where lined up to take a picture with one of Ellie's favorite character, Wan-Wan (the Doggie), from NHK kids show. Ellie was so excited, and Julia was so excited from far. However, when we were to take a picture, Julia decided that the Doggie was too close. So, that's why she is crying...

入った瞬間、エリが「いないいないばぁ」のキャラクター、ワンワンを発見。なんと写真が一緒に撮れる。というわけで、早速列に並び、写真を撮ることに。列もとっても短く、すぐに順番がやってきました。エリは大はしゃぎ。ジュリアも途中まではしゃいでいたのですが、いざ写真を撮ろうとワンワンがお隣に来ると、やっぱり。大泣きです…。ディズニーランドでもミッキーとの写真で大泣きしたので、わかってはいたけどね…。仕方なく、大泣きのジュリアと共に写真撮影でした。

その後、スタジオパーク内を散策。子供達とは初めて入ったけど、なかなか楽しめるじゃない。おまけに時間が遅いとあり、人もあんまりいないし、結構エンジョイし、帰りはモンスーンカフェでディナーをして帰ってきました。あぁ、この次は5人でのファミリーアウティングだわ…。どーなるもんかしら…。

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween! Trick or Treating this year was whole a lot of fun! Reid family hosted a pre trick-or-treating party. Ellie invited her friend, Kana-chan, to come along with us. It was whole a lot of fun!

本番ハロウィンの夜です。今年はとっても楽しくTrick or Treatingに行ってまいりました。Reid家がパーティーをホストしてくれ、エリはお友達のかなちゃんをご招待してのハロウィンです。今年は妊娠39週のMommyが2人の子供達を観るのはムリなので、Daddyがフルサポートしてくれました。（去年はDaddyいなかったのよね…。）もちろんDaddyも多少の仮装です（カツラだけだけど）。
Kana-chan's Mommy just had a baby about a month ago. He came along to trick or treating.

かなちゃんのママは、1ヶ月ほど前に男の子を出産したばかり。一緒に来てくれました！かなちゃんママ、ありがとう！また一緒にイベントしましょーね。
Since we had little kids, we just went around mellow side of Uehara neighborhood and I think that was plenty for our girls.

うちはチビっこ達がいるので、去年と同様、比較的混雑の少ないご近所さんでのTrick or Treatingです。（激しいご近所さんはそれはそれはスゴイのです…。）それでも15件ほどは回りました。子供達は回る家々でキャンディーを獲得し、大はしゃぎ。大人は疲れ果ててましたが…。

それでも子供達にとっては楽しいイベントだったようです。また来年のハロウィンも楽しんでくれるのかしら…。今年のコスチュームリクエストはエリだけだったので何とか対応できたけど、来年からはどんなもんかしら…。難しいリクエストはしないでくれぇ…。

Primary Halloween Activity

Hectic week... Our Primary Halloween activity was on on Oct 25th and Primary program was on Oct 26th, and I was involved in both... And I'm 38 weeks pregnant. Anyway, regardless of Mommy's headache, girls had a lot of fun at Primary Halloween activity. They got whole a lot of candies, which was way more than what Mommy wanted them to have. I guess this is what Halloween is all about...

大変な週末でした…。プライマリーのハロウィンパーティーが25日（土）、そしてプライマリープログラムが26日（日）、この両方の準備を何かしら担当していた私は、妊娠38週の臨月妊婦…。はぁ、終わってよかったぁ…。Mommyはかなりパニクってましたが、子供達はハロウィンパーティー、かなり楽しんでいたようです。たくさん（もらいすぎるほど）キャンディーをもらって超ハッピーな2人でした。
Ellie is a butterfly and Julia is a pumpkin this year. (Julia's pumpkin is hand-me-down from Ellie last year...) Ellie loved her costume and didn't want to take it off after the party. Julia was so cute with her little head thing, but it came off right away...

エリは今年はちょうちょ。（コスチューム、間に合いました！）そして、ジュリアはパンプキンです。（パンプキンは去年のエリのお下がりですね…。）エリはこのちょうちょコスチュームが超気に入ったようで、脱ごうとしませんでした。（これも例年通り…。）ジュリアの頭のパンプキンのヘタがとってもかわいいのですが、5秒しかもたず、あっさりもぎ取られました…。かわいかったのに…。

最近のエリとジュリアのおうちでのお遊びです。時にはじゅんばんこで入れ替わり、エリが中、ジュリアが押してたりもします。
This is Ellie's favorite matching outfit. These outfits were made by Grandma. Ellie lately pick clothes for Julia and most likely they are matching outfits.

エリのお気に入り、Grandma手作りのおそろいお洋服です。最近エリはジュリアのお洋服も選んでくれ、決まっておそろいです。ちなみに、プーさんはエリのお気に入り、テディはジュリアのお気に入りです。

Baby Shower

Shelley, Jill, and Jennifer threw a baby shower for me. It was really nice of them. The shower was at Shelley's house and so many people came for me. They all made me so happy! My good friend, Takako, even came all the way from Yokohama. Everyone brought delicious food and Shelley, Jennifer, and Jill made wonderful desert! I got so many baby boy clothes and I think we are all set for our new baby boy. (I was having too much fun and didn't take any pictuers. Sorry...)

Showa Kinen Park Outing

Mike's annual sales conference to attend around this time every year. He just left on Sunday, so Mommy and the girls decided to go to Showa Kinen Park with friends. It was such a gorgeous day and we certainly enjoyed our outing at the park.

毎年この時期、Daddyはお仕事の新年度グローバルキックオフミーティングで海外出張に出向きます。というわけで、昨日ラスベガスに旅立ってしまいました。そこで、取り残されたMommyと子供達で、昭和記念公園に出向くことにいたしました。お天気は最高！10月半ばなのに気温も暑いぐらい。とってもエンジョイできました。
Beautiful flowers all over at the park. It was so gorgeous and we were quite impressed with it. Ellie and Julia were so happy to see these beautiful flowers too.

昭和記念公園では、コスモスが満開の見ごろで、本当に美しかった…。エリ、ジュリアもお花畑を目の前に大はしゃぎ。
After passing the pretty flower area, we went through many other sections of the park and finally located ourselves at the bouncing dome. Ellie was having too much fun with her frinds bouncing around. Julia tried and she wasn't sure, but she saw Ellie having fun and she joined right in.

美しいコスモスのお花畑を通り過ぎ、その他いろいろ通り過ぎ、フワフワドームに到着。エリはお友達とフワフワの床をジャンプしまくり。ジュリアはというと、フワフワがどうもピンとこなかったようで、少々ためらいがちでしたが、そのうちエリに混じってジャンプ。超楽しかったようで、お昼寝の時間の眠そうな目をしながらも遊んでました。

Ellie and Julia played hard the whole time we were at the park. Both Ellie and Julia walked quite a bit too. It was quite obvious that they fell right to sleep on the way back home.

エリもジュリアも、いっぱい歩き、いっぱい遊びました。もちろん帰りの車の中で熟睡のお2人です。

Palette Undokai

Palette Hoikuen Undokai (sports event). This is Julia's first Undokai. There are a lot of events that parents are involved this year and Daddy had a lot of fun as well as girls.

今年も運動会の季節です。今年の運動会は、ジュリアにとって初めてのイベント。名前をよばれて、「あ～ぃ！」といっている姿、昔のエリを思い出してしまいます。エリ、ジュリアも久しぶりに会えたお友達がたくさんで、とっても楽しそうでした。
Julia and Daddy ran together. She did pretty good job. Ellie and Julia both danced and did a good job too.

ジュリアとDaddy一緒の競技です。ジュリア、頑張りました。エリ、ジュリア、ダンスもばっちりです♪
Daddy did good job. Well, he pulled rope too hard that he got blister on his hand.

Daddyは綱引きを頑張っておりました。ってゆーか、頑張りすぎ…。綱引きに命かけて、結局手に豆を作ってました…。やりすぎだよ…。

今年の運動会、とっても楽しませていただきました。子供達もとっても楽しんだ様子です。

Halloween Picnic

Bonnie and I did a Halloween picnic last year, and it was quite a success. Everyone enjoyed and we got many request to do it again this year, so here we are. We did it again this year. It was a little early but weather was super gorgeous and we totally enjoyed it!

去年Bonnieと企画したハロウィンピクニックが大盛況で、最開催のリクエストが多数あった為、今年も再度企画することにしました。今年は少々早い開催となりましたが、みんな楽しめたようです。

Ellie was a pumpkin from last year. (Her costume this year didn't get in on time since the picnic was way early...) Julia was a black cat (again from last year...) Ellie invited her friend, Shu-kun, to the picnic and he was a Peter Pan! We took pictures in front of our house and they were so cute together.

エリはパンプキン（去年のコスチュームです…。ピクニック開催が早すぎて今年のコスチュームが届かなかったのよ…。ゴメン。ハロウィン本番までには間に合わせますので…。）ジュリアは黒ネコ（コレも去年の…。）そして、エリのお友達、しゅう君はピーターパンで登場です。
We had a lot of (too many) treats this year again. Bonnie did cupcakes and they were really cute! I did cookies and pumpkin bread. The problem this year again was that kids just ate treats and didn't eat much lunch. I guess this will happen every year...

さすがハロウィンとあって、お菓子もいっぱいです。ちなみに、カップケーキはBonnie担当、クッキー、パンプキンブレッドは私が作りました。問題は、お菓子ばぁっか食べていて、ランチを食べてくれないこと…。ハロウィン時期は終始この問題との格闘ですね…。

紙皿を使って、パンプキンを作りました。エリのパンプキン、なかなかのものです。
After games, we went around the park for trick-or-treating. Ellie and Julia were so happy getting bunch of candies.

ゲームの後は、Trick or Treatingへ。公園内を回って、たくさんのお菓子をゲットしてきたエリとジュリア。超ハッピーです。

First Disneyland Disneysea

Ellie and Julia experienced their first time Disneyland and DisneySea. Mike and I haven't been to Disneyland ever since we went with Stan before Ellie was born, so parents were excited too. Unfortunately weather did not corporate well and we had a misty day all day while we were in Disneyland, but girls did not care about misty weather. They just had too much fun with Mickey Mouse and his friends.

エリとジュリアの初ディズニーデビューです。親の私たちもディズニーランドは本当に久しぶり。エリの生まれる前にStanと一緒に行ったアナハイムのディズニーランド以来、おまけに東京ディズニーランドは初だったので、結構楽しみでした。残念なことに、ディズニーランドの日はお天気霧雨。しかーし、霧雨なんてものともしないエリとジュリア。体中でめいっぱいミッキーとの一時を楽しんでいました。
Ellie was excited before we entered the park because the train we got on to the park had a circle window with Mickey ears!

エリは、ディズニーランドに入る前から大興奮！パークまでのモノレールの中のミッキー型の窓を見た瞬間から超ハッピーでした…。
Ellie was excited to be on Dumbo. I guess it was fortunate and unfortunate about the misty weather. Lines were not too long and we did not have to wait for a long time to get on the rides.

ダンボにものりました！あまりよろしくない天候のおかげもあり、長時間待つこともなくほとんどのライドにスムーズに乗ることができました。
This is Ellie and Julia watching the parade. They were so excited about the parades. Ellie danced with the dancers while parade was in front of her. She even wanted to follow after they left. Julia was a quiet parade watcher, but she was waving really really hard saying "bye-bye" to the parade after they left.

パレードは、子供達にとってかなりのヒットだったようです。エリはパレードが目の前に来ると、一緒にダンサー達と一緒に踊り、パレードが去ると追いかけると主張…。なんとかなだめた感じです。一方ジュリアは、パレードがいる間は真剣に静かに魅入っており、パレードが去ると激しく「バイバイ」と叫んでおりました。
We also watched Goofy and Mickey's dinner show. Of course Ellie didn't care much about dinner and she was jumping around the whole entire time while show was going. The only sad thing was that we didn't get to see the electrical parade because of the weather. They just had a rainy day version of the little parade. I guess we'll have to get there again for the electrical parade.

夜はミッキーとグーフィーのディナーショーを楽しみました。エリというと、お食事はそっちのけでショーに見入っており、ミッキーやグーフィーが出てくると、席を立って大興奮でした…。唯一残念だったことは、悪天候の為エレクトリカルパレードが見れなかったこと。雨バージョンの小さなパレードだけでした。また今度エレクトリカルパレードを観にリベンジにいかなくては！

Day 2 at DisneySea. It stopped raining and we had a good day. We were afraid since there was no school for kids in Tokyo, but not too crowded and we were able to enjoy the park.

翌日はディズニーシーへ。この日は雨も上がり、快適な陽気でした。「都民の日」で東京都の学校がお休みだったので混雑を懸念したのですが全く混む様子もなく、スムーズにライドにも乗ることができました。
Ellie and Julia loved Mermaid Lagoon. This was all for little kids and they loved it. Ellie got on every single ride. Julia was at Ariel's Playground the whole time.

エリとジュリアは、マーメイドラグーンがお気に入り。エリはラグーン内全てのライドを制覇しジュリアはひたすらアリエルのプレイグラウンド内で走り回りました。そのうちエリもプレイグラウンドにジョイン。2人で船の船長気分です♪
Ellie loved seeing Disney Characters. She was so excited every time we saw characters and gave kisses and hugs, held hands, followed them, etc. However, Julia had a little tough time finding out who they were. Well, she knew who they were, but she liked to see them from far distance. Once they get closer to her, she got scared (as you can see in the pictures below...)

エリはディズニーキャラクターに会えた事がなによりうれしかったようです。キャラクターを見つけるたびに大興奮。一緒に写真をとるのはもちろん、ハグやキス、おまけに手をつないだり、追いかけたりを繰り返していました。一方ジュリアはというと、遠くから見るのはとっても大好きなのですが、ある一定の距離以上に近づいてくると大泣き…。「こわくないよ～、大丈夫。」と伝えてもムダでした…。

Neighborhood Natsu Matsuri

Our neighborhood, Hatsudai, had Natsu Matsuri. It was a small Matsuri, but there certainly were a lot of people there. Bunch of Ellie and Julia's neighbor friends were at Matsuri and danced.

町内の毎年恒例夏祭り、初台阿波踊りです。小さなお祭りですが、商店街の通りはたくさんの人でいっぱいです。エリとジュリアのご近所のお友達もいっぱい阿波踊りに参加しており、みんなで応援です！
We met with Shu-kun, one of Ellie and Julia's favorite friends at Matsuri. They were all dressed up in Yukatas and danced with the Matsuri people.

初日のお祭りは、エリとジュリアだけだったのですが、2日目はお友達のしゅうくんと合流し、浴衣姿でお祭りを楽しみました。（ジュリアは甚平でしたが。）もちろん阿波踊りも、ちびっ子阿波踊りに飛び入り参加で踊っておりました。特にエリは超ノリノリです…。Julia, on the other hand, enjoyed Matsuri food more than dance. She ate whole corn but needed more, so she decided to ask her frineds for food...

一方ジュリアはと言うと、これまたいつも通り阿波踊りよりは屋台の食べ物に夢中。焼きもろこしやから揚げなど、お友達の食べていたものにたかっておりました…。（ちゃんとご飯食べさせてから連れて行っているのですが…あー、恥ずかしひ…）

でも、とっても楽しいお祭りでした♪また来年も楽しめるのかしら…。

Silly Sticker Face

Whenever Ellie or Julia gets immunization shot at Dr's office, they get a sticker. Today was Julia's DPT immunization shot. She wasn't happy about the shot and cried. But Ellie was happy since she could steal Julia's sticker off of her hand while she was crying... Anyway, Ellie decided to put all Hello Kitty sticker on her face, and some to Julia's face. Ellie was happy, but I'm not sure if Julia was...

本日ジュリアのDPT予防接種。注射の後、お医者さんにご褒美にシールをもらうのですが、今回ジュリアは注射のすぐ後泣いている間にエリにシールを取られてしまいました。（本人は取られた事実にさえ気づかず泣いていましたが…）エリはシールをゲットして、超ハッピー。顔中にシール張りまくりです。自分の顔だけでは飽き足らず、ジュリアの顔にまで…。迷惑そうなじゅじゅでした。
