Ellie and Big Slide

Today was such a gorgeous day and we decided to go to the park nearby with the girls. In Shinjuku Chuo park, there is a huge slide (it is even scary for adults) and that seemed to be one of Ellie's favorites. She climbs up all by herself and start sliding down without slowing down. She has no fear, which really scares her parents, but I guess that is her personality...

本日土曜日、天気快晴。というわけで、新宿中央公園に出かけることにしました。中央公園にはとてつもなく大きな滑り台があるのです。当然こちらは愛理ちゃんのお気に入り。自分で率先して登っていき、颯爽と滑り降りてきます。大人でも怖いぐらいの滑り台なのですが、愛理には恐怖という感情がないのでしょうか、よく言えばチャレンジ精神、悪く言えば無謀。この性格、将来不安です…。
Julia on the other hand plays in the little kids section. She gets on the baby slide. She does not have as big smile as Ellie does when she is sliding, but she certainly enjoys. (She actually enjoys climbing up the slide backwards.)

寿理亜はというと、さすがに大きな滑り台ではなく、小さい滑り台で遊んでおります。すべるとき、愛理ほどのスマイルはないものの、結構気に入っている様子です。（寿理亜の場合、滑り台を反対から登るのが好きみたいで、かなり迷惑な遊び方をしております。）

Palette Field Trip

Palette (Ellie's preschool) had a field trip and we went to Ueno Zoo (again). It was Saturday and there were too many people there, but Ellie had a blast time with her friends at the Zoo. She was so happy walking with her friends.

本日は愛理の保育園の遠足でした。土曜日だったので、とーっても混んでいたのですが、愛理にとってはとっても楽しかったようで、終始ハッピーパワー全開でした。やっぱり違った環境でいつものお友達と接するのは新鮮なものがあったようです。きゃはきゃは叫びながら動物をめぐっておりました。しかし、混雑のせいで寿理亜がベビーカーから見えるものは人のお背中とおしりのみ…。出してあげると喜ぶのですが、座ったままの状態だとちょっと不機嫌でした…。

Ellie especially liked the gorilla section. When we went, they were right in the middle of the lunch time. Bunch of vegetables were thrown at the gorillas and it was fun watching them eat. Ellie and her friends thought it was funny and they were laughing so loud in front of it.

特にお気に召したのはゴリラのようです。見に行ったときちょうどゴリラのお食事中で、お野菜、果物をむさぼるゴリラの姿を見ることができました。これがどうやら愛理とお友達のツボにハマったらしく、ぎゃはぎゃはとはしゃぐことはしゃぐこと…。おそらくゴリラの前で10分は居座ったのではないでしょうか。

After we had lunch, we went to the petting area. Ellie touched bunny and sheep.

帰り際にふれあい広場に立ち寄りました。愛理はウサギさんとヒツジさんにおそるおそる手を伸ばしておりました。

Children's Day Outing

Today was a special Japanese holiday, Children's Day. We decided to do something that kids would love to do and we went to Chiba for strawberry picking and Farm Park called "Mother Bokujyo".

今日はこどもの日。というわけで、こども達の楽しめそうな場所巡りにでかけました。まずはエリとジュリアの好物イチゴを食べにイチゴ狩りに、そしてその後、マザー牧場に足を運びました。

When we got to the strawberry field, Ellie and Juila were not sure what was going on, but they saw Mom and Dad picking strawberries and eating, and they caught it right away and start hunting for good-lookig strawberries. (Well, Julia really didn't care if it was riped or not, she just needed something in her mouth.)

やっぱりこどもの日とあり、道路は混んでました。でも、イチゴ狩りのイチゴ農家はどうやらマイナーな所を選んだようで（時期も遅かったというのもあり）貸しきり状態でイチゴ狩りを楽しみました。最初は何をしていいのかわからなかったエリとジュリアでしたが、そのうち慣れて来たようで、イチゴ畑を所狭しと動き回り、美味しそうなイチゴを探しては口に運んでいました。（ジュリアはとりあえず、緑のイチゴも食べようとしてましたが…）

After strawberry picking, we headed out to the farm park (Mother Bokujyo). On the way to get there, we stopped at Ramen place and ate Ramen. This Ramen was extremely tasty and we were quite surprized. There were bunch of people at the farm park, but we certainly had a lot of fun. Ellie and Julia saw and touched many animals.

イチゴ狩りの後は、マザー牧場へ。さすがはこどもの日、混んでました。でも、たくさんの動物を見て触れて、エリ、ジュリアはとっても満足だったようです。
Ellie liked the piggy race the most. She even got her own little piggy stuffed animal and decided to bet on which piggie to win on the last race. Ellie's guess was #3 piggie to win the last race. Unfortunately, we lost our bet, but it was fun enough to cheer our little #3 piggy.

エリちゃんのお気に入りは子ブタのレースです。子ブタちゃんのぬいぐるみを買ってもらい、最終レースの予想に参加。残念ながら予想は外れちゃったけど、でも子ブタのぬいぐるみはエリのお気に入りになりました。

At the end, Ellie and Julia got on one of the rides with Daddy at the park. Daddy seemed a little tight in there, but Ellie and Julia had so much fun!

その後、遊園地エリアで乗り物に乗ることにしました。Daddyにはちょっと狭かったみたいですが、でも、とーっても楽しかったようです。

After the ride, Ellie also wanted to get on the horsie in the carasel. We said only one rice, but Ellie cried and cried in front of the carasel. Finally Daddy gave in and let Ellie ride a horsie.

本当は乗り物1つの約束だったのですが、エリはメリーゴーランドのお馬さんに乗りたくて、メリーゴーランドの入り口の前で泣きまくり…。最終的にはDaddyがあきらめて、チケットを買いにいき、お馬さんに乗ることができたエリちゃんでした。

Children's Castle Paly Day

Today was Saturday and it was raining unfortunately. So we went to the Children's Castle in Shibuya. We were not able to go on the deck but play area were huge and there were even a sectioned area for Julia's age kids to play. Music room was so much fun for the kids. Ellie and Julia had too much fun.

今日は土曜日、しかし朝から雨。そこで、家の近くのこどもの城に家族で行くことにしました。雨だったので、屋外の遊び場には出られなかったけど、それでも音楽広場やプレイルーム、ジュリアの年の子供達の遊べるエリア等、エリとジュリアが十分楽しめました。うちの近くにこんなキッズフレンドリーな場所があるのって、いいわー。と改めて感じてしまっていた次第です。今日はDaddyも一緒だったので、子供達はことさらハッピーでした。

Julia's favorite was the kitchen area. She sat on the table and was cooking for a long time. Ellie was first playing at the big kids area with slides and ropes, but she later joined with Julia and cooked together.

ジュリアのお気に入りは、キッチン。座ってひたすらお料理でした。エリは、隣の固定遊具でずっと遊んでいたのですが、そのうちジュリアにまざってお料理です。いったい何ができたのでしょう・・・。



We met Ellie's friend there and found out that there was a little concert. So, we deicded to go see the concert at the music room. There were many musical instruments for Ellie and Julia to play with. Ellie found a xirophone, Juila liked playing a drum. They both played hard in that room.

なかでたまたまエリの保育園のお友達に遭遇です。お友達ママに教えてもらい、11時半から音楽演奏があるとのことで、楽器のお部屋に繰り出しました。演奏を聞いた後、自由に楽器をかき鳴らしていたエリちゃんです。ジュリアは太鼓がお気に入り。必死な形相で太鼓をたたいておりました。



After that, we had lunch around Children's Castle and came home for kids naps. It was a fun day!

その後、ちょっとしたアクシデントもありましたが、結局こどもの城周辺でランチを食べ、お昼寝の時間になってしまったので、おうちに戻ってまいりました。でも、十分楽しい一日でした♪
