Sad day

Today was Grandma's last day. We were very sad. We were so happy and blessed to have her for 1.5 weeks with us. We had a lot of fun with Grandma.

今日はグランマの最後の日。空港まで送りにいきました。ちょっと寂しかったけど、でも一緒にいた2週間はとっても楽しかったです。

We took Grandma to the airport to say bye. On the way back from the airport, girls wanted to go to Disneyland. We could not get that request, but we stopped right by the resort for dinner. We went to Pitta 00 for pizza and pasta. The dinner was really good and we certainly enjoyed. Girls even ate a lot. We were very satisfied with all the dishes.

空港の帰り道、エリとジュリアがディズニーランドに行きたいとリクエスト。さすがにディズニーランドはいけなかったので、ディズニーリゾートのモール、イクスピアリにて夕食です。今回は、Pitta 00にて、美味しいイタリアンをいただきました。

Late Birthday Dinner

Since Noah's arrival was occupying me and we didn't get to celebrate each other's birthday last month, Mike arranged a belated birthday dinner for the both of us. We left our 3 kids at home with Grandma. (Sorry that you had to deal with 3 monsters. They love you tons though!)

先月は出産でバタバタしていてお互いお誕生日をゆっくり祝うことができなかったので、ちょっと遅くなったけど、マイケルが2人の素敵なバースデーディナーをアレンジしてくれました。子供達はグランマとお留守番です。（大変だったようです。ごめんなさい…。）

He selected one of the Michelin Guide 2 star French restaurants, Cuisines Michel Troisgros, and it was extremely gorgeous. Ever dish was so tasty and we certainly enjoyed our time together. (without a scream here and a yell there)

生後1ヶ月のベビーはお留守番、しかもママは授乳中ということも考慮してくれて、近場を選択。フレンチのキュイジーヌ・ミッシェル・トロワグロで、お食事です。全てのお料理に舌鼓を打ちながら、幸せのひと時をすごしました。

Desert was gorgeous too. We really enjoyed our dinner together.

Mike was so sweet and gave me flowers before we went out. Thank you, Mikey!! I love you!

Our highly recommended restaurants

We found several great restaurants during our trip (mostly in Jackson Hole area). If you are heading this area, we recommend to stop and dine at these places for sure!

ジャクソンホール近辺ですが、旅行中とっても美味しいレストランを発見したので、ご紹介します。もしジャクソンエリアに行く機会があるようでしたら、是非寄ってみてください。

Our first recommendation is inside of Grand Teton National Park. The restaurant is inside of Signal Mountain Lodge called "Trapper Grill".
This place was actually recommended by our sister, Sally. Her whole family liked this place so we stopped and dined. The food was gorgeous and we loved it! Girls even ate bunch of food and we were quite surprised too.

最初のオススメは、グランドティトン国立公園内にあります。シグナルマウンテンロッジ内の、 "Trapper Grill"というレストラン。実は、マイケルのお姉さん、Sallyに勧められてここに立ち寄ることにしたのですが、大正解！注文した全てのお料理がとても美味しいのです。子供達もほとんどのお料理を美味しそうにたいらげ、驚きでした。

We also found a little cafe in Jackson Hole, which serves great food. The cafe is called "Bunnery". We stopped for a little snack, but everything was so good and we even ordered desert.

もう一つのオススメは、ジャクソンホールのキュートなカフェ、"Bunnery"　本当はちょっとしたスナックで寄ったのですが、あまりの美味しさにデザートまで注文してしまった私たちです。

Anniversary Dinner at CITABRIA

Mike took me to the nice anniversary dinner to CITABRIA in Nishi Azabu. The restaurant was in modern french style, very nice setting, food was delicious, and we spent a wonderful time together during dinner.
It is getting a little warmer and the weather was nice, so Mike drove a bike and I sat on the back. We had a little bit of time before dinner, and we drove around Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown. Sakura was almost gone, but it was a still nice to look around.

今日は旦那様に結婚記念日のDinnerに、西麻布のCITABRIAに連れて行ってもらいました。とても素敵なモダンフレンチレストランで、お食事もおいしくいただき、すばらしい夜をすごすことができました♪
久しぶりのデートだったし、だいぶ外気も暖かくなってきたので、今回はバイクで。予約の時間まで余裕があったので、2人で六本木ヒルズ、東京ミッドタウンの夜の景色を楽しみながらドライブをしました。

Allan West's Exhibition

Allen West was having an exhibition in Seijyo, so we decided to go visit today. Allan is our friend from the ward who is a famous Japanese-style painter. He has painted art works for Fukuoka Temple, as well as for hotels, station malls, concert malls, and many others.

今日は、エリとジュリアの撮影の帰り、アラン・ウエストの個展に成城まで行ってきました。アランはお友達の有名な画家で、日本画をベースにしたすばらしい作品を数多く描かれ、ホテル、コンサートホール等多くの場所に飾られています。

Before we visit the gallery, we decided to stop for lunch. Ellie and Julia loves pasta, and there was a Italian restaurant "TO THE HERBS" right by the station, so we decided to go in.

個展に行く前に、お昼だったので、「TO THE HERBS」で軽くお昼を食べることに。エリもジュリアもパスタは大好きなので、安易に決めてしまったのですが、お店はとってもキッズフレンドリーだったので、助かりました。子供用イスもあり、ベルトもついていたのでチェアベルトは必要ありませんでした。

Ellie did not care about food too much, but she was more interested in eating butter straight out of package.

エリは、好物のはずのパスタよりどうもバターが気に入ってしまったらしく、離さずひとりでカップごとなめておりました・・・。

Julia was eating everything she can see around her. We have to admit that Julia now eats more than Ellie.

ジュリアは、手が届く範囲の食べ物をあさっておりました。手が届いたものが何だろうが関係なく口に入れております。今ではエリよりジュリアの方がよく食べます。

After lunch (and of course after cleaning up the kids) we went to the gallery to see Allan's art work. They were all beautiful. His focus this time was all about Sakura (Cherry Blossom) and were so beautiful. (Sakura is also Julia's middle name, but we don't think she understood that part.)

お昼ごはんのあと、個展に向かいました。すごく素敵なギャラリーで、絵もとても素敵なものばかり。今回の個展は桜がテーマだったので、桜の絵画を集めており、春を感じることができました。ちなみに、ジュリアのミドルネームもさくらなのです。4月の桜の時期に生まれてきたので…。

Italian dinner at Chanti

We went to one of our favorite restaurants in our neighborhood, Chanti. There are several choices even in our neighborhood, but we like the one with the parking space :-) The restaurant is nice and small, and they serve really tasty Italian!

近所でもいくつか店舗があるのですが、やっぱりうちがよく行くのは駐車場付きのお店。ホホホ。とってもおいしいお料理で、いつもおいしくいただいております。ただ、子供用のイスは置いてないので、えりとじゅりあにはチェアベルト必須です。

Indian Food for lunch

We tried the Indian place for the first time right by Machida CostCo. It was pretty good. This was Ellie's first time Indian and she really liked Nan.

コストこの帰りにインディアンレストランに行きました。エリにとっては初めて。でも、いっぱい食べたので、おそらくお気に召したのでしょう。

Lunch at Cafe La Boheme

After our shrine visit, we had lunch at Cafe La Boheme. We had great Italian lunch there. The restaurant was somehow kids ok, but had to deal with a little bit of stairs.
The food was great and we all enjoyed our meal. As you can see, Ellie certainly enjoyed her pizza and pasta.
初詣の後、Cafe La Bohemeにランチに。場所も駐車場の近くで、とっても便利でした。ベビーカーであがったので、段差がちょっと気になりましたが、店内は広々としており、子供用イスも借りて、ランチを楽しみました。エリは、ピザとパスタをしーっかり食べておりました。ついでにデザートも・・・。

Family lunch at J's GARDEN

We went to J's GARDEN for lunch. We really like this place because food is tasty and they are kids friendly. They even have a parking on the basement! They serve nice Italian.
J's GARDENにランチに行きました。このレストランは、ファミレスと一言で片付けるのはかなり失礼なほどお洒落な雰囲気で、おいしいイタリアンをいただくことができます。もちろん子供大歓迎で、駐車場も完備なので、ストウカー家御用達です。うちは車ですぐの池尻にいきますが、ほかにもお店はあるようです。

Ellie loves spaghetti. Noodle is hanging from her mouth (as you can see on the picture.) She sloops so quick so sometimes it whips her chin. Can you tell how fun it is to clean after she is done???

キッズメニューももちろんあるのですが、エリは大人のメニューのトマトソーススパゲッティーがお好き。キッズメニューそっちのけでDaddyのを半分ほどたいらげました。

Dinner at Kantera

We decided to have dinner with Kubodera-san and Kiyomi at Kantera. Kantera is one of our favorite Yakiniku places. They serve really good food and also kids friendly. We had fun time today.
本日、きよみちゃんと久保寺さんとで焼肉を食べに「韓てら」さんに行きました。ここは、子供大歓迎で、お食事もおいしいし、おまけに近いので、ストウカー家のお気に入り焼肉店です。
